Screen printing is a process whereby each colour of the artwork is printed as a separate layer and approaching the job can be completely unique for every project. Because of this all orders will be tailored through discussions with the client and quoted specifically to the artwork being printed.

Get in touch with me to place or discuss any order. When exploring the printing of your artwork it's important to keep in mind that the below will influence the quote provided:

+ The number of colours/layers

+ The size of the print

+ The number of prints

+ The paper stock/substrate

INKS

As standard I use waterbased commercial grade inks from TW Graphics that use automotive grade pigments and have up to 3 years lightfastness. The inks adhere to a wide range of substrates with a rich vibrant colour. If you have a specific finish in mind, please let me know when discussing your artwork as I can source various types of inks from metallic to phosphorescent.

PAPER

I have various stockists and can source a number of specialty papers from high quality coloured card, cotton rag to many reflective foils:

+ GF Smith (Colorplan, Mohawk & more)

+ Fedrigoni (Serio, Fabriano Cotton & more)

+ Mirri (Patterned holographic foils)

ORDERING & PRICING

Due to the bespoke nature of setting up an artwork for screen print get in touch for a tailored quote. Pricing is based entirely on the colour amount, artwork size, quantity ordered and the paper stock. There are processes that can be used to simulate shades such as halftoning, ink transparency/overprinting and split fountains to reduce colour amount but these will need to be proofed.

LEAD TIMES

Orders can take between 10 and 14 working days on average and an accurate completion date will be provided upon invoice. However if you have a specific deadline in mind please mention it when enquiring.

ARTWORK FORMATTING

Most file types are perfectly suitable for screen print with certain guidelines in place. For raster artworks (.jpg .png .tiff etc) the artwork should be the actual size of the print and 300ppi. For any vector artworks (.ai .pdf .svg etc) the image should be the actual size of the print and with all strokes and fonts outlined. If you're not sure what to do or if your artwork is physical rather than digital, get in touch to discuss.

ARTWORK SEPARATION

For multiple colour/layer artworks please compile the artwork in a .psd (raster) or .ai (vector) with each colour on a separate layer. If your image is full CMYK colour, would like me to handle the artwork separation or this is something you're unsure of drop me an email.
